Tabernacle Means Temporary Abode
Our body is a temporary abode. The Feast of Tabernacles is the completion of the agricultural year. This feast commemorates our renewal of our covenant and agreement with YAHWEH. Exodus 23:16 The Feast of Tabernacles is also known as the Feast of Booths. We are to remember that we dwelled in booths after our exodus from Egypt, during the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. This is a joyous occasion wherein we are thankful for all the great works that YAHWEH showed forth in HIS delivering us out of the hand of the wicked Pharaoh in Egypt. Dwelling in booths indicates once again how our Great, Good, and Terrible Black GOD YAHWEH is a provider of everything we need in our lives. HE provides food, clothing, and shelter to all who are HIS. This Feast of Ingathering spiritually exemplifies the resurrection of our people and then gathering them together at the end of wicked rule. YAHWEH is present with us on this day during the feast. YAHWEH’s presence with us shows the intimacy and fellowship between us and HIM. The Feast of Tabernacles is a time of great joy and gratitude for YAHWEH’s blessings and provisions, both past and present. It points to the time when YAHWEH will dwell with HIS people eternally, as described in Revelation 21:3 and Zechariah 14:16-19
